Obituary

Harold Ray Richardson, age 79, of Palestine, Texas, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, the 18th day of May 2022.  Mr. Richardson was surrounded by his dear family when the Lord called him home.  He was born on the 14th day of November 1942, in Palestine, Texas, to parents Tommy Richardson and Bonnie Churchman Richardson.

Mr. Richardson loved this country and selflessly gave of himself when he fought in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Mr. Richardson was a legend when it came to the oilfield.  He was well known and worked for Brooks Well Service his entire career.  Mr. Richardson was good with his hands, a wonderful woodworker, and could build anything.  His hobbies included fishing, camping, working in his vegetable garden, and just being in the great outdoors.  His loving spirit and good personality will be missed by many.

Mr. Richardson is preceded in death by his father Tommy Richardson, mother Bonnie Richardson Parker, wife Peggy Richardson, and sister Glenda Richardson.

Left to cherish Mr. Richardson’s memory are his wife, Sue Richardson; daughters, Tammy Clary of Streetman, Texas, and Cheryl Benson and husband Larry of Lake Cherokee, Texas; sons, Steven Richardson and wife Brenda of Fountain, Colorado, Stephen Morris of Longview, Texas, and Terry Morris and wife Kim of Longview.  Mr. Richardson is also survived by his grandchildren, April Smith, Luke Smith, Haley Parrish, Katelin Parrish, Johanna Ragland, Colby Benson, Cayden Benson, Macayla Hing, Keeley Brown, Mason Paddy, and Madison Paddy, and numerous great-grandchildren.
