Hayden Scott Richardson, age 18, of Palestine, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, the 6th day of December 2022, and is now in the presence of our heavenly Father. Hayden left his family and friends far too soon at the age of 18. He was born on the 14th day of October 2004, in Palestine, Texas, to parents Carrie Bacon and Robert Richardson.
Hayden was a Senior at Palestine High School, where he played football, basketball, participated in track, and suited up for one baseball game, because Coach Perez needed a “big guy”. In his spare time, Hayden enjoyed working out, cooking, playing video games, hanging out with friends, and giving his little big cousin, Mackenzie, a hard time. Hayden’s music taste was vast, from rap, blues, rock, and the oldies.
Hayden had a sense of humor as big as his enormous vocabulary, and he could share countless sports statistics. He was a loyal Los Angeles Lakers fan, and as a nod to his Dad’s Louisiana roots, he loved the New Orleans Saints and LSU Tigers. At the time of his death, he was employed at the Polar Express as part of the Cocoa Crew.
Hayden is preceded in death by his great-grandmother Doris Cantrell, grandmother Dottie Richardson, and his aunt, Kathy Jo Crumrine.
Left to cherish Hayden’s memory are his parents Carrie Bacon, and Robert Richardson and wife Ashlee; grandparents, Kathy and Larry Chestnut; grandfather, Harold Richardson; aunts, Amy Bacon, Diane Downing and husband Scott, Judy Johnson, and Victoria Richardson; uncle, Michael Bacon and wife Launa. He also leaves behind his cousins Mackenzie Calloway, Avery and Austyn Bacon, Vickie Chancellor, Angie Carnes, Kristie Jo Wilson, Stacey Sean Cartwright, and stepsisters, Chloe Henderson, and Kaylee Holloway. Hayden had countless friends, including his best friends, Rhett Roberts and AJ Garcia.
Friends are invited to a visitation with the family from six o’clock until eight o’clock in the evening, on Thursday, the 15th day of December 2022, at Rhone Funeral Home.
Funeral services to honor Hayden’s life will be conducted at half-past two o’clock in the afternoon, on Friday, the 16th day of December 2022 at Evangelistic Temple in Palestine, Texas with Danny Rodriguez officiating the service. Interment will follow at Roselawn Park in Palestine.
Funeral services for Hayden Scott Richardson are in care of Rhone Funeral Home, 3900 S. State Highway 19, Palestine, Texas.
