James Hubbard Langford, age 84, of Palestine, Texas, passed on to his eternal home in Glory on Sunday, the 2nd day of October 2022. Mr. Langford was born in Quanah, Texas, on the 1st day of November 1937 to parents Cecil Langford and Ethel Langford.
Mr. Lanford lived in Arkansas, but always called Texas his home. He was a loving man and a hard worker. He worked as a handy man for many years and was a skilled carpenter. He was very talented when it came to drawing and painting. Mr. Langford enjoyed fishing and playing the guitar in his spare time. Mr. Langford holds a special place in many hearts and will never be forgotten.
Mr. Langford joins in Heaven his parents, Cecil and Ethel Langford; son, James Glenn Langford; brothers, Calvin Langford, Mutt Langford, Jeff Langford, and Stanley Langford; sisters, Eva Ward and Lois Morris; granddaughter, Misty Murphy; and his son-in-law, Danny Warren.
Left to cherish the wonderful memories of Mr. Langford are his wife Gail Langford of Arkansas; daughters, Sherry Warren, and Lorie Sellers and husband Fred, all of Palestine; son, Chris Langford and wife Courtney of Ennis; brother, Kenneth Langford and wife Alice of Waxahachie; eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
A graveside celebration of life service to honor the life of Mr. Langford is to be conducted at one o’clock in the afternoon, on Sunday, the 23rd day of October 2022, under the pavilion at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Elkhart, Texas.
