James “Jimmy” Eldon Sinclair, age 72, of Tyler, Texas, passed away peacefully on Saturday, the 30th day of July 2022. He was born in Oakwood, Texas, on the 13th day of July 1950, the last of six children.
Mr. Sinclair served in the United States Army after high school. Upon returning home from the service, he moved to San Antonio and later relocated to the Dallas and Sherman areas. Mr. Sinclair worked for Procter and Gamble as a technician for many years before retiring and enjoying “the good life”.
Mr. Sinclair had a personality that everyone loved. He was an avid reader, and he was very knowledgeable regarding books and various authors. An artist at heart, Mr. Sinclair, was very talented at oil paintings and other styles of art. Mr. Sinclair was dearly loved by his family and will be missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Leon Randolph Sinclair and Leetie Elizabeth Dorsett Sinclair and his brothers, John Henry Sinclair, Keith Sinclair, and Billy Morris Sinclair.
Mr. Sinclair is survived by his daughters, Chelsea Rhianna Litolf, and Shea Alyssa Sinclair; brothers, Carroll Sinclair and wife Barbara of Tyler, Texas, Leon R. Sinclair, Jr. of Bryan, Texas; sister-in-law, Betty Sinclair of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Archer Lewis Litolf and Marshall Arron Litolf. Mr. Sinclair is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Funeral services to celebrate Mr. Sinclair’s life are to be conducted at two o’clock in the afternoon on Wednesday, the 3rd day of August 2022 in the Rhone Memorial Chapel with Ben Rhone officiating the service. Mr. Sinclair will be interred in Oakwood Cemetery.
In lieu of customary remembrances, memorial contributions in Mr. Sinclair’s memory can be directed toward Oakwood Cemetery, P.O. Box 349, Oakwood, Texas 75855.
