Jayton Rase Hobson, age 33, of Grapeland, Texas, passed away on Friday, the 25th day of October 2024. He was born on the 30th day of April 1991 in Jacksonville, Texas to parents Davy R. Hobson and Leah Daniels Hobson.
Jayton is survived by his sons, Gunner Rase Hobson and Easton Gage Hobson; parents, Davy R. Hobson and Leah Hobson; grandparents, Jerry and Kay Daniels, and Mart Hobson Brysche; brother, Jeron D. Hobson and Alli McKibbin; sister, Ladye M. Hobson; nephews, Brylan Williams and Diondre Darby; niece, Kaia Darby; special friends, Chelsea Brent, and Chloe and Caisley Lockett; and many other family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Davy Joe Hobson.
Jayton Rase Hobson was by choice and by heritage an outdoorsman. Hunting the same woods and fishing the same waters as his grandfather and great-grandfather before him. Jayton also had many other hobbies and interests such as coon hunting, bow hunting, and fishing, leather working and even knitting at one time, imagine that. He also enjoyed foraging for edible and medicinal plants as well. But his supreme joy was being outdoors on the Neches River or any creek or back country road with his most precious beings Gunner and Gage as well as his extended precious ones, Caisley and Chloe Lockett, teaching them about the simpler pleasures of life.
Jayton was loved by many because his heart was to help and give even amid challenges of this life. He gave his heart to Christ when he was around the age of five at Mt. Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Rusk, Texas, while it was under the pastorate of his grandfather, Davy J. Hobson. Jayton, today, is at peace and comforted in the presence of his Savior and all his loved ones and friends that have gone on before him. Jayton also knows the full meaning of Psalms 34:6 “This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.” TGBTG!
