Jeanette Lambright Obituary

Jeanette "Nanny" Lambright, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away on Sunday, the 19th day of January 2025, at the age of 74. Born on the 30th day of June 1950, in Houston, Texas, to parents Raymond Sustaita and Janie Mongonia, Nanny lived a life marked by generosity, care, and the joy of nurturing those around her.

Nanny, as she was affectionately known by all, dedicated her life to the happiness and well-being of her family and the children she fostered with open arms. Her legacy is carried on by her beloved boyfriend, Robert Hollaway; her daughter, Lenise Shaw; her son, Jeffery Lambright and his wife, Misty Shaw; her sister, Darlene Brown; her brother, Tony Sustaita; her cherished grandchildren, Dustin Lee Jennings, Lacey Kummer, Braidan Lambright, Lanie Arevalo, Lenise Lambright, Dana Lambright, and Tye Hollaway; and her adored great-grandchildren, Gracie Jennings, Case Kummer, Aisling Jennings, Layla Arevalo, LynLee King, Fallon Kummer, Wesley Wayne Arevalo, and Alana Lambright. Jeanette's warmth and spirit will also be remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members, who found comfort and guidance in her presence.

She is preceded by her parents Raymond and Janie Sustaita; son, James Ray Lambright; brothers, Henry Sustaita, Raymond Sustaita, Jr., Joe Sustaita, Eugene Sustaita, and Eddie Sustaita; and grandson, James Alan Jennings.

Nanny's love for her family knew no bounds, and she found her greatest joy in the moments spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her home was a place of laughter, learning, and love, where every child felt special and nurtured. As a foster parent, Jeanette extended her kindness and care to many children over the years, earning her the revered title of Nanny not just at home but in the hearts of all those she helped, including Zack, Destiny, and Angel Hollaway.

Her interests reflected her love for life and her charismatic spirit. A master at the art of fun, Nanny relished her time playing bingo and trying her luck at the casinos. Yet, she always maintained that her biggest jackpot was the family she nurtured and the memories they created together.

Those who knew Nanny describe her as loving, kind, and thoughtful—a woman whose compassion was as endless as her smile. She had a unique ability to see the good in people and to make every individual feel valued and understood. Her advice was sought after, her hugs healing, and her laughter infectious.

Nanny's life was a testament to the power of love and the impact one person can have on so many lives. Her family takes comfort in knowing that her legacy will continue to flourish in the lives of her descendants and in the memories shared by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
