Jeanie "Gayle" Lawson Cutler, a beacon of kindness and joy, passed away peacefully on Monday, the 28th day of April 2025, at the age of 69. Born on the 10th day of November 1955, in Travis County, Texas, Gayle was the cherished daughter of James Henry Lawson and Joyce Marie Neel. Her vibrant spirit and loving nature will be forever remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Gayle's life was a melody of love and devotion, and her passion for singing gospel music was a reflection of her deep Christian faith. She carried her faith through every aspect of her life, touching the hearts of many with her angelic voice and the sincerity with which she lived her beliefs. Her ability to two-step and waltz brought life to any dance floor, and her presence was a source of light at family gatherings and community events.

Those who knew Gayle will remember her for her charismatic presence, her humble demeanor, and her good sense of humor that could lift the spirits of a room. She had a unique way of making everyone feel special and valued, a gift that made her a cherished friend and confidant to many.

Gayle's kind spirit was evident in the thoughtful ways she interacted with those around her. She was a spirited soul who approached life with enthusiasm and a readiness to help others. She is preceded in death by her parents James and Adell Lawson, Buck and Joyce Gattis, and raised by Dewey and Linnie Lingo; sisters, Debra Gattis, and Becky Gattis; and her brother, Michael Lingo.

Gayle's life was a testament to her unwavering faith and the love she had for her family. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth and generosity, embodied by her daughter, Kristen White; her son, James "Jim Bob" Cutler and his wife Amber; her sisters, Lana Bowden and Peggy Gattis; her brothers, Tim Lawson and wife Kelly, Curtis Lingo, Leonard Gattis, and Ronald Lingo. Her role as a grandmother was one she held dear, leaving precious memories with her grandchildren, Justin Cutler and fiancé Christa Smith, Macy Davis and husband Aaron Davis, Hannah Dixon, Ronnie Bynum III and wife Shelby, Shana White, and Lane White. She also embraced the joy of being a great-grandmother to Grayson Bynum, Waylon Cutler, and Aaron Davis III.

Friends are invited to a visitation with the family from six o’clock until eight o’clock in the evening on Thursday, the 1st day of May 2025 in the Molly Ray State Room at Rhone Funeral Home.

Funeral services to celebrate Gayle Cutler’s life will be conducted at ten o’clock in the morning on Friday, the 2nd day of May 2025 at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Grapeland, Texas. Bro. Davy Hobson and Bro. Gary Luker will be officiating the service. Interment will follow in Pilgrim Cemetery in Elkhart, Texas.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Aaron Hollis, Camo Navarrette, Samuel Uvalle, James Bowden, Dustin Shirey, and Rance Luce.
