Jeff Barnett

Allen Jeffrey Barnett, known affectionately as Jeff by his loved ones, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, the 24th day of June 2024, at the age of 56. Born on the 10th day of August 1967, in Anderson County, Texas, Jeff was the beloved son of Allen Barnett and Kathleen Soares Barnett.

A member of Calvary Christian Center, Jeff's faith was an integral part of his life. He lived his beliefs through his actions, always ready to lend a helping hand and share a word of encouragement. Jeff's passion for the outdoors was evident to all. He was happiest when he was hunting, fishing, or simply enjoying the beauty of nature. His love for the outdoors was matched only by his skill as a carpenter and woodworker. Jeff's meticulous craftsmanship was a hallmark of his character – a man who paid attention to the smallest of details and took immense pride in his work.

Jeff is preceded in death by his father, Allen Barnett, who no doubt welcomed him with open arms.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication to his family, including his mother, Kathleen Soares Barnett, who will miss his presence dearly. His children, Brianne Campos and her husband Wesley, and Jake Barnett and his wife Amber, both of Palestine, Texas, will forever cherish the memories and lessons their father imparted upon them. His sister, Angela White and her husband Brian of Oakwood, Texas, and his brother, Joey Barnett and wife Lori of Palestine, Texas, will remember Jeff as a supportive and caring sibling.

His grandchildren, Hagen, Jace, Weston, and Olivia Campos, will grow up with stories of their grandfather's adventures and the knowledge of his deep love for them. Jeff also leaves behind his nieces, Alyssa Reeves, Emma Schmidt, and Abby White, along with a host of other family members and friends who were touched by his kindness and generosity.

Funeral services for Jeff Barnett are to be conducted at ten o’clock in the morning, on Saturday, the 29th day of June 2024 at Calvary Christian Center in Oakwood, Texas with Bro. Jack Smith officiating the service. Interment will follow in Mount Pisgah Cemetery.

A visitation where friends can express their love and support to the family will be held one hour prior to the start of service at Calvary Christian Center.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Keith Moore, Jason Moore, Wesley Campos, Brian White, Joey Barnett, and Mark Smith.

In lieu of customary remembrances, memorials in memory of Jeff Barnett can be directed towards Mount Pisgah Cemetery, P.O. Box 496, Oakwood, Texas 75855.
