Jeffrey George Berggren, of Montalba, left this world for his heavenly home on Tuesday, the 7th day of September 2021. Jeff passed away at UT Health in Athens at the age of 75. He was born on the 15th day of December 1945 in Bloomington, Minnesota, to parents Robert W. Berggren and Lorraine Youngstrum.
Jeff grew up in Northern Minnesota where his parents owned a resort. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War, until he was honorably discharged and returned home. Jeff was an excellent carpenter and created beautiful woodwork. He used the talents the Lord blessed him with and worked hard daily to serve Him. Jeff was a devoted Christian man who taught his family to always put the Lord first in their lives.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lorraine Berggren, and sister, Patricia Ketchmark.
Jeff leaves behind his loving wife of 39 years, Clarice Berggren; daughters, Valerie Smith, Jenny Magni and husband Robert, and Jacki Berggren; sons, Eric Berggren and wife Vida, Joel Berggren and wife Aubrey, James Berggren and wife Tiffany, Jordon Berggren and wife Jasmine, Jeremiah Berggren and wife Kami, and Joshua Berggren; brother, Gary R. Berggren and wife Susan. He is also survived by grandchildren, Lauren, John, Joshua, Jeffrey, Ricky, Stephanie, Jerry, Anthony, Amy, Stacy, Louis, Salice, Lazarus, Slayden, Abijah, Quil, Ariana, Ellamay, Maverick, Mathias, Jereson, Sebastain, Ronan, AnnMarie, Moses and Jael; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Jeff will be cremated, and the family will have a memorial service at a later date.
