Jesus Limon Vigil, age 51, of Palestine, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, the 7th day of June 2020. He was born on the 31st day of August 1968, in Cerritos, S.L.P., Mexico, to Bernardo Vigil Ordonez and Elvira Vigil Limon.
Jesus was a hard worker and made a career in the oilfield. When he was younger, he enjoyed playing soccer and powerlifting. Jesus loved spending time with his family and friends and playing the lottery. He also had an enthusiasm for working out and watching movies.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Elvira Vigil Limon.
Jesus is survived by his daughters, Laura Vigil and Jimena Vigil; sons, Rogelio Vigil and wife Jordan, Jesus Vigil, Jr., Christopher Vigil; sisters, Maria Zavala and husband Marcelo, Elvira Armenta and husband Manuel; brothers, Bernardo Vigil, Juan Vigil, Camilo Vigil and Jose Vigil. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, family and friends.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from five o’clock until six o’clock in the evening, on Thursday, the 11th day of June 2020 in the Rhone Memorial Chapel. The recitation of the Holy Rosary in honor of Mr. Vigil is to commence at six o’clock in the evening.
The Mass of Christian burial is to be held at ten o’clock in the morning on Friday, the 12th day of June 2020, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Jonathon Frels officiating. The Rite of Committal, via an escorted procession, will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Palestine.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Rogelio Vigil, Jesus Vigil, Jr., Christopher Vigil, Esiel Vigil, Brian Armenta, Isaiah Zavala, Jaiden Pacheco, and Jose Antonio Vigil.
