Joella Elizabeth Pittman, of Palestine, was born in Eastland, Texas, on the 2nd day of June 1936, and passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2020, at the age of 84.
Mrs. Pittman was a loving and affectionate lady who enjoyed sewing and painting. Her family was her greatest treasure and she enjoyed spending as much time with them as possible. She was a Christian and attended worship service at Memory Lane Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents Luther and Luella Fuller; husband, Crawford Vaughn Pittman, who passed away June 30, 1997; son, Richard Vaughn Pittman who passed away on October 12, 1987; three sisters; and two brothers.
Mrs. Pittman leaves behind her daughter, Kathy Pittman and Rodger Hamby; son, Jimmy Don Pittman; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
A funeral service to celebrate Mrs. Pittman’s life is to be conducted at two o’clock in the afternoon, on Monday, the 21st day of December 2020, in the Rhone Memorial Chapel with Bro. Wesley Veazey officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Park.
Friends are cordially invited to visit with the family one hour prior to the start of service.
