It is with profound love and broken hearts that we announce the passing of Joshua Jordan Davis, 21, of Elkhart, Texas. Josh tragically passed away on Thursday, the 21st day of May, 2026, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was deeply loved by his family and friends, and his memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
Josh was born in Palestine, Texas on the 15th day of November 2004 to parents Julius Davis and Jennifer LeAnn Starkey.
Born with a natural, athletic gift, Josh was highly involved in sports during his time at Westwood High School, where he proudly graduated as part of the Class of 2023. While he excelled in athletics overall, basketball was his true love, a sport he joyfully played all year round. When he wasn't dominating the court, he could often be found relaxing and enjoying PlayStation sessions with his close friends.
Above all else, Josh was an amazing, devoted dad to his daughter, Gianna. She was his pride and joy, and the driving force in his life. He was a hardworking man who always put his family first, taking immense pride in his work at Schneider Electric and being a reliable caretaker for his loved ones. Josh had a magnetic personality and will always be loved and missed by his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Doris Crist.
Josh will be deeply missed by his mother, Jennifer Starkey; father, Julius Davis; fiancé, Jaylah Spurlock; daughter, Gianna Jordan-Ann Davis; grandparents, Janet Feagin and husband William, Leo Crist, and Sandy Starkey and wife Kathy; brothers, Stephen Glover and Liam White; sister, Alexis Davis. He also leaves behind several aunts and uncles, Gwen and Brian Hunt, Latonia Crist, Nina and Kaigen Baker, Kamariah Leonard, Shunda Parish, and Michelle and Chance Brooks; nephew, Aiden Scott Baker; best friends and cousins, Bri’Darian Hunt, Bri’Len Hunt, and Kamren Moore. Josh will be sorely missed by numerous other family members and a multitude of friends.
