Josie Ogle Obituary

Josie Idabelle Ogle, age 75, of Palestine, Texas passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, the 7th day of September 2024. She was born on the 28th day of November 1948, in Mineral Wells, Texas, to parents Lewis David Shubert and Bessie Ida Clepper. Idabelle’s journey through life has been one filled with the melody of piano keys, the fragrance of blooming gardens, and the warmth of a kitchen filled with love. She was known to many as Ma Belle’s Kitchen.

Idabelle's life was a symphony of tender moments and cherished memories. She expressed her love for life through the gentle touch of piano keys, the nurturing of her flower garden, and the countless meals lovingly prepared for family and friends. Her passion for cooking was only matched by her love of reading and listening to the Bible, which she did with unwavering dedication. Shopping was another joy for Mrs. Ogle; it was an activity that brought her immense pleasure, especially when shared with her loved ones.

Those who knew Idabelle will remember her as a loving and gentle soul, whose faith-filled life was a testament to her strength and grace. She faced life with a quiet confidence and a heart full of compassion for others. Her presence was a soothing balm to those fortunate enough to have felt it, and her memory will be cherished as a gift that continues to inspire.

As we say goodbye to Mrs. Idabelle Ogle, we celebrate the remarkable woman she was and the indelible impact she made on the lives of those she touched. Her spirit, characterized by love and gentleness, will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. We take comfort in knowing that her legacy will be carried forward through the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who will continue to honor her memory in their daily lives.

She now joins her parents, Lewis and Bessie Shubert; husband, Bobby Ogle; sister, Loriene Green; son-in-law, Will Johnson; sisters-in-law, Linda Shubert, Ruby Shubert, and Pat Shubert; grandchildren, C.J. Ogle, and Anabel Benitez, in eternal peace.

A matriarch in every sense of the word, Idabelle's life was a testament to the power of love and the strength of family bonds. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth and compassion, embodied by her daughters, Christy Johnson, and Shiela Dawn Gul, and her husband, Zubair; sons, Nolen Bynum and his wife, Robin, Robert Ogle and his wife, Julie, and Daniel Ogle; as well as her brothers, Edward Shubert, LeRoy Shubert, and Jackie Shubert. Her spirit will continue to shine through her cherished grandchildren, Kyle Carter and his wife, Diana, Anna Carter and her husband, Fabian Martin, Jacob Bynum, Fasial Gul, Ayesha Gul, and Robie Ogle; and her adored great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Martin, and Xander Bynum.
