Judy Fetcher Obituary

Judy Lynn Fetcher, age 78, of Palestine, Texas, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, the 13th day of May 2026, after a battle with cancer. She was born on the 9th day of June 1947 in Lindale, Texas, to parents Lloyd Reeves and Nadine Duncan Reeves.

Judy was a devoted member of Dogwood Hills Baptist Church, where her faith was an important part of her life. Judy dedicated many years of her life to her work with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, where she retired after a long and faithful career.

Family was very important to Judy, and she treasured the time she spent with those she loved. Her greatest accomplishment was raising her four boys, a role she embraced with unwavering dedication, patience, and pride.

In her younger years, Judy enjoyed playing softball and tennis. She loved the outdoors and found peace in the beauty of nature. She especially enjoyed planting flowers in her garden and feeding the birds, with a special fondness for red birds.

She is preceded in death by her parents Lloyd and Nadine Reeves and first husband, Richard Brewster.

Judy is survived by her husband, Jerry Fetcher; sons, Richy Brewster and wife Dana, Stephen Brewster and wife Shaina, Craig Brewster and wife Becky, Tommy Brewster; stepson, Warren “Scott” Fetcher and wife Jody; stepdaughter, Stephanie Taylor and husband Scott; sister, Patsy Ledgerwood; and brother Jerry Reeves. She was blessed with ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, all of whom brought great joy to her life.

A funeral service to celebrate Judy Fetcher’s life is to be conducted at two o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, the 16th day of May 2026, at Dogwood Hills Baptist Church with Bro. Kevin Willmott officiating the service. Interment will follow in Roselawn Park.

Friends are invited to visit with the family one hour before the start of service.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Casey Brewster, Josh Reeves, Brandon Brewster, Steven Frazier, Daniel Miller, and Chase Scarbrough.
