Julie Laura Jean Graham

Julie Laura Jean Graham, of Palestine, Texas, left this world for her eternal home in Heaven on Tuesday, the 19th day of July 2022.  She passed away at The Hospice of East Texas in Tyler at the age of 48.  Julie was born in Teague, Texas, on the 9th day of May 1974, to parents Don Graham and Manuela “Nellie” Calzada Graham.

Julie was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.  She was also an excellent pet parent to her pet turtles, Ron and Lily.  Julie had a love for music, especially the Hanson and Nelson Band.  She also enjoyed reading books and a good scare from watching horror movies.  Julie dealt with many health issues throughout her life, but always kept a positive attitude and a smile on her face.  She left us too soon, but the memories that were made will be treasured forever.      

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Jesus and Ynes Calzada, and Ernest and Ruby Graham.

Julie leaves behind her parents, Don and Manuela “Nellie” Graham; niece, Shiloh Sartain; nephew, Harley Hasel; sister, Janice “Nikki” Sartain; brother, Seth Graham; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and her two beloved turtles, Ron and Lily.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from six o’clock until eight o’clock in the evening, on Friday, the 29th day of July 2022 in the Rhone Memorial Chapel, where the recitation of the holy rosary in honor of Julie will commence at six o’clock.

A Mass of Christian burial is to be offered at ten o’clock in the morning on Saturday, the 30th day of July 2022, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The Rite of Committal, via an escorted procession, will follow to St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Palestine. 

Honored to serve as pallbearers during the services are James Calzada, Jasen Hollingsworth, Levi Link, Wesley Flack, Russell Hiatt, and Brian Smith.  Serving as honorary pallbearers are Scotty Kent and Kit Farman.

Our hearts are broken but our love and memories of her shall live forever.
