Karl Watson Obituary

Karl Eugene Watson’s work here on earth was completed on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at the age of 54 at his home in Palestine, Texas.  He rests with our Lord and Savior and is finally healed from Cancer.  He was born April 13, 1971, in Athens, Texas to Kimbell and Dorothy Rampy Watson.  Karl resided most of his life in Cayuga and attended Cayuga High School.  During and after high school he worked alongside his dad in the family business, Watson Water Well Service.  He went on to work for many years in oilfield service.

Karl was a man with a servant’s heart.  He loved his wife, kids, grandkids, and his small circle of friends deeply and never failed to let them know.  Karl was never going to let the truth get in the way of a good story.  You could always count on him to lighten the mood when things were tense.

Karl loved music, but more specifically the 80’s genre.  He also had a strong dislike for snakes. While home was his favorite place to be, he did get to travel and see some of God’s most beautiful creations, including breathtaking sunsets in Grand Cayman, humpback whales in Maui, and Dolphin super pods in San Diego.

He is preceded in death by his dad Kimbell Watson, grandparents Raymon and Maxine Watson, and Geri and Mary Rampy.

Karl is survived by his mother Dorothy Watson, aunt Barbara Wright, wife Brandy Watson; his four children, Klayton Watson and wife Macy of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Karlie Davis and husband Tristan of Cayuga, Texas, Alli Bullard and husband Brian of Searcy, Arkansas, and Ashlyn Evans and husband Chase of Conroe, Texas; sister, Paula Libby and husband Mark of White Bluff, Tennessee; brother, Kirk Watson and wife Alycia of Cayuga, Texas; grandkids, Loxley and Talon Watson, Krew, Dally, and Tripp Davis, Junie, Boston and Bennett Bullard, and Whit Evans.  He also leaves behind nieces and nephews, Bethany, Christy, Scott, and Spencer Libby, Kade and Kynzie Watson, along with other family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service to honor Karl Watson is to commence at ten o’clock in the morning on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Evangelistic Temple in Palestine. Keith Vintila and Casey Vickers will be officiating the service along with family and friends.

Prior to the service, the family will lay Karl to rest in Judson Cemetery, officiated by Jason Harris and Casey Vickers.
