Koehne Reed was granted his angel wings on Tuesday, July 22, 2025. His time spent with us seems too short for any of us to understand, but we will forever be grateful for the precious time that we all spent with him. From his loud cooing sounds that started the days, his bright eyes and beautiful smile, Koehne filled our hearts with so much love each day.
Koehne was born in Palestine, Texas on January 22, 2025, to Dylana Oliveira and Jacob Vaden, where he grew up in Elkhart, Texas. The short six months he was here, his life was full of love, joy, happiness and peace. He loved to be outside, enjoyed the beach where he played in the sand, loved the lake, going golfing and fishing with his parents, but most of all he loved his Hey Bear dancing fruit and Mickey Mouse Club House. Koehne flew to California to meet his family where he received his first set of wings by the airline.
Koehne had a loving family: Parents, Dylana Oliveira and Jacob Vaden, he was loved by his grandparents Tiffany Oliveira (GiGi) and Jack Scott (PaPa) and Sandra (Lolli) and Greg (Pops) Vaden. He was spoiled by his Aunt and Uncle, Trinity Oliveira (Godmother) and Eron Peterson (Godfather). Koehne is also survived by his Great Grandparents, Jimmy and Sue Moffett, Chuck and Kalinda Franklin, Phillip Vaden, Noreen Livingston (Bisava), and Fatima Oliveira and many extended family members. He is preceded in death by his Grandfather Andre Oliveira (G-pa), and his Great Grandfathers, Bruce Livingston (Bisavo) and Terry Lytle (GG-Pa).
The family extends a heartfelt thank you to Rachel Merrifield (Pediatrician), Christy (Nurse Practitioner) and Julie Quinn (Midwife) for their exceptional care and compassion.
Koehne was loved by everybody that he met, with his unconditional smile, his outstanding personality, his looks, his eyebrows, the way he always stuck his tongue out, he lit up everyone's day and world. He touched so many.
Koehne’s service will be held Tuesday July 29, 2025, at Rhone Funeral Home in Palestine, Texas at 10:00am. The family asks everyone to stay and join us for a balloon ceremony after the service onsite.
Please wear bright colors in honor of our bright baby boy!
