Larry Curtis Staples

Larry Curtis Staples, age 77, of Palestine, Texas, passed on to his eternal home in Glory on Saturday, the 18th day of February 2023.  Mr. Staples was born in Palestine, Texas on the 23rd day of December 1945 to parents Edgar Monroe Staples and Frances Loutrell Staples.

Mr. Staples attended Christ Community Church in Palestine, Texas. He was known by many throughout the community. Mr. Staples was a loving son, husband, father, and Pop. Mr. Staples had a big heart, creative spirit, and great sense of humor.  He could tell a good story that would leave you laughing for days. He was very talented when it came to working and fixing lawn mowers. He passed his passion for lawn mowers on to his son, Danny. Throughout his life, he enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family. We rejoice because he is now in the presence of our loving Lord and Savior and are thankful for the beautiful memories that we will hold onto forever.

Mr. Staples joins in Heaven his parents Edgar and Frances Staples; sisters, Darlene Berry, and Kathy Jureski; and brother, Butch Staples.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Mary “Evelyn” Staples; daughter, Paula Staples; sons, Mark Staples, Ronnie Staples, and Daniel “Danny” Staples; sister, Frances Burns and husband Jesse and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

A graveside service to honor the life of Larry Curtis Staples is to be conducted at two o’clock in the afternoon, on Tuesday, the 21st day of February 2023, at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Elkhart, Texas with Bro. Dwain Dobb officiating.
