Lina Martha Chadwick

Lina Martha Chadwick joined the angels in Heaven on Monday, the 3rd day of January 2022.  She passed away at Palestine Regional Medical Center at the age of 85.  Mrs. Chadwick was born in Giessen, Hessen, Germany, on the 26th day of November 1936 to parents Fredrich Guenther and Martha Stumpe Guenther.

Mrs. Chadwick moved to Texas 20 years ago, became involved in the community, and quickly made many friends.  She had a loving heart and a passion for people, especially the elderly.  She loved to crochet and would make warm hats and scarves to warm those receiving treatments for the local cancer center.  She also made many lap blankets for veterans throughout the area.  If you knew her, you have something she crocheted.  Mrs. Chadwick loved her family and friends and will be dearly missed.

Mrs. Chadwick is preceded in death by her parents, Fredrich and Martha Guenther; her beloved husband, Paul Chadwick; brothers, Fritz Guenther, Alfred Guenther, and Erich Guenther; sisters, Fredel Belanger, Elizabeth Atkinson, and Crista Alt; grandson, Brody Bingham.

Left to cherish the memories of Mrs. Chadwick are her children, Danny Elton and wife Diane of Cordova, Tennessee, and Katherine Jones and husband Ken of Fairfield, Texas; sisters, Erika Carmen and Margret Beck; brother, Horst Guenther; grandchildren, Krystina Wreggit and husband Chris, Glenn Elton and wife Jennifer, Rusty Jones and wife Chelsea, Jennifer Blevins and husband Daniel, Meredith Childress and husband Bryce; great-grandchildren, Shaylee, Baylen, Harper, Kaitlyn, Brooklyn, Emmalyn, Carter, Keeli, Kendal, Jeremy, Gavin and Sawyer.

The family will be honoring Lina in a private memorial service later this year in Florida.

Cremation services for Lina Martha Chadwick are in care of Rhone Funeral Home, 3900 S. State Highway 19, Palestine, Texas.
