Linda Faye (Hills) Lippold

Linda Faye Lippold, age 75, of Palestine, Texas, met with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, the 27th day of April 2023.  Her daughter was there by her side when the Lord called her home.  Ms. Lippold was born on the 31st day of May 1947, in Ogden, Utah, to parents Robert Hills and Dorothy Sims Hills.

Ms. Lippold was an excellent mother who was proud of the family she raised.  All through life she supported her children, and was a fierce cheerleader for her daughter, Kelly.  She had a loving heart and always an encouraging word to give to others.  Ms. Lippold enjoyed working in her flower gardens and landscaping her yard.  When she was younger, she adored golf, snow skiing and water skiing.  She was extremely athletic and loved to compete. 

Ms. Lippold was a Christian and an active member of Crockett Road Church of Christ.  Reading and studying the Bible were her passion.  She wanted to understand the Lord’s teachings and know Him to her highest ability. She was a big asset to her Tuesday morning ladies Bible class, where she always enjoyed the luncheons and trips to different venues. 

She battled cancer and COPD for several years, and even though she may not have felt her best, she attended worship service every chance she could, even in pain.  We now rejoice for Ms. Lippold because she is now worshiping the Lord without any ailments.

She is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Dorothy Hills; son, Ronald Scott; and her sister, Patsy Hills.

Ms. Lippold is survived by her daughter, Kelly Tinley of Palestine; sister, Cathy Pires and husband Rich; brother, Robert Hills and wife Ann; grandson, Quinn Cameron Tinley and girlfriend Alexandria Rodriguez; and one great-grandchild on the way.  She also held a special place in her heart for the girls of Rock Bottom Ranch, which she considered her adoptive granddaughters.

A memorial service honoring the life of Linda Lippold will be conducted at eleven o’clock in the morning, on Saturday, the 6th day of May 2023 in the Rhone Memorial Chapel with Dan Manuel officiating. 

Friends are invited to visit with the family one hour prior to the start of the service at Rhone Funeral Home.

Honorary pallbearers include Toby Black, Richard Nash, Dick Davis, Quinn Tinley, Ernie Wolf, and Tim West.
