Linda Price, of Elkhart, Texas, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2024, at her home with her loving husband by her side. Born on July 5, 1950, in Lufkin, Texas, to parents Alvin Brooks and Doris Marie Patterson, she was a beacon of love and kindness throughout her 73 years of life.
Those who knew Linda will remember her as a loving and kind soul, a woman who gave generously and loved unconditionally. Her love for life was evident in her passions, which included a weekly ritual of playing Bingo every Sunday evening. She was also an avid fisherwoman, where she found serenity at the water's edge, basking in the tranquility of nature. Her love for fishing was only surpassed by her love for her family. Linda was the epitome of selflessness, always putting the needs of her loved ones above her own. She cherished the simple pleasure of staying home and spending quality time with her family, creating memories that would last a lifetime.
Her gentle spirit and selfless nature left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will be treasured and kept alive in the stories shared by friends and family for generations to come.
Mrs. Price leaves behind her husband, James H. Price; stepfather, Alex John; daughters, Melissa Smith, Tammy Price, Machelle Smith; sons, Mike Lebel, James Lebel, Robert Smith, and Shane Price. Also, left to cherish the memories are her sister, Carolyn Doughty; brother, Danny Brooks; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with other family members and many friends.
In Heaven, Mrs. Price joins her parents, and her brother, Jimmy Brooks.
