Linda Watts Obituary

Linda Jane Watts, age 70, of Tennessee Colony, Texas passed away into the loving arms of Jesus on Thursday, the 24th day of July 2025, at U.T. Health in Tyler surrounded by her family. Linda was born on the 14th day of December 1954 in Palestine, Texas to parents William Raymond Potter and Jane Sapp Potter.

A proud graduate of Palestine High School, Linda's life was a testament to the power of love, family, and community. She married her soulmate, Bill Watts, and together they shared 52 years of unwavering partnership, creating a legacy of love and devotion. She was embraced by the Watts family from the very beginning, and she, in turn, poured her love into every facet of her family life. Linda's role as a wife, mother, and caretaker was her utmost priority, and she embraced it with every fiber of her being.

Known for her exceptional cooking skills, Linda was celebrated for making the best chocolate chip cookies and chicken fried deer steak—a treat that brought together family and friends over shared stories and laughter. Her love for tending to the chickens and rabbits was just another thread in her nurturing spirit. Linda was a treasure to those who knew her, and she will be profoundly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents George H. and Cleo Watts and William and Jane Potter; and brother, William Mark Potter.

Linda is survived by her devoted husband, Bill Watts, her adoring children, Stephanie Piper and husband Bradley, and Randy Watts and wife Robyn. Linda's grandchildren—Brycen Piper, Reece Watts, Rylee Watts, Harrison Piper, Rowdy Watts, and Annie Piper—will forever cherish the sweet moments and life lessons imparted by their "Big MAMA." Her sister-in-law, Betsy Smith, also holds dear the memory of Linda's sisterly love and support.
