Lorelee Ann Reeder, age 75, of Lewisville, Texas and formerly of Palestine, Texas, was born on December 14th, 1947, in Tyler, Texas to parents William Irvine Chandler and Alene Delores Stacy Chandler. On Monday, October 9, 2023, the Lord called her home to live in Heaven. Lorelee spent her childhood in Tyler, Dallas, and Haltom City, Texas. She received her GED from Tyler Junior College and then went to Abilene Commercial College and graduated with a degree in secretary/accounting. She worked for Merchants Fast Motor Lines in Abilene for 22 years before moving to Palestine in 1996 to marry Billy Frank Reeder. She spent 5 years working for various Doctors, including Leroy Mathis, Mike Smith, and Russell Bell. In 2003, she began working at Crockett Road Church of Christ as the church secretary. Lorelee worked part time there until her health declined and she moved to be closer to her son. She was a faithful Christian and a long-time member of Crockett Road Church of Christ.
Lorelee is preceded in death by her husband, Billy Frank Reeder, her father and mother, William and Alene Chandler, and her sister, Raeia Jean Hinson.
Survivors include her son Kelly Russell Collins and his wife, Kim, of Lewisville, Texas; three grandchildren, William Russell Collins, Alison Claire Collins, and Emma Catherine Collins, all of Lewisville, Texas; aunt, Melba Page and her husband Larry, of Canton, Texas; niece, Angela Jackson and her husband, Kevin, and their son, Adam; and her nephew, David Bruce Goodman and his wife Angela. She is also survived by other family members and a multitude of friends.
A funeral service to celebrate Lorelee Reeder’s life is to be conducted at ten o’clock in the morning on Friday, October 13, 2023, at Crockett Road Church of Christ with Dan Manuel officiating the service. Interment will follow on Friday, at two o’clock in the afternoon, at Cana Cemetery in Canton, Texas.
Friends are invited to visit with the family one hour prior to the start of the service at Crockett Road Church of Christ.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are William Collins, Kelly Collins, Henry Baker, David Sparks, Mike Whitley, and Ben Rhone. Her church family will serve as honorary pallbearers.
