Madysyn Rials Obituary

It is with a broken heart that we announce the passing of Madysyn DeLayne Rials, of Gladewater, Texas, and formerly of Elkhart, Texas.  Madysyn, affectionately known as “Mady” to her friends and family, passed away at the tender age of 11 on Sunday, the 5th day of May 2024, due to injuries in an automobile accident. Mady was born with a vibrant spirit to Kristin Rials Canady in Palestine, Texas on the 4th day of June 2012, and was a bright light in the lives of all who knew her.

Mady was a proud 5th grader at Harmony Independent School District, where she was known for her eagerness to learn and her ability to make every classmate feel included. Prior to attending Harmony I.S.D., she was a student at Kilgore I.S.D., where she began her educational journey with the same enthusiasm and love for learning.

Her passion extended beyond the classroom and onto the field, where she was a dedicated member of the Lady Cardinals Softball team. Mady's team spirit and sportsmanship were unmatched, and she cherished every moment spent with her teammates. Her love for music was just beginning to blossom as she had recently tried out for the school band, eager to share her musical talents by playing the trombone.

Mady's interests were as wide-ranging as her ability to make friends. She was a water enthusiast who loved to swim, feeling her best when she was splashing around and enjoying the simple pleasures of life. Her love for her family was immense, especially for her aunts and cousins, with whom she shared an unbreakable bond.

Described by those who knew her as loving, friendly, and kind, Mady lived life to the fullest, embracing every day with a heart full of joy and a spirit of generosity. Her ability to connect with others and form lasting friendships was truly remarkable. She had a unique talent for making everyone around her feel special and loved. Mady will be remembered not just for the brightness of her smile, but for the warmth and love she radiated. Her legacy of kindness and friendship will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her. Mady's life, though far too short, was a testament to the power of love and the impact one young soul can have on the world.

Mady is preceded in death by her grandmother, Danya Rials, and her mother, Kristin Canady, who passed away shortly after Mady.

Mady's presence was a gift to her family, and the memories created during their time together will be cherished forever. Mady leaves behind her father, Edward Scott; grandmother, Chami Henry; great-grandparents, Virginia Martin Callaway, and Francis and Betty Williams; sisters, Khloey Ann Canady, Kaylee Danyal Rials; aunts and uncles, Kaitlin Brown and husband Casey, and Sarah Henry and husband Ruffer Elliott, along with many other aunts and uncles; and her beloved guardians, Shelby Llera and Jasmine Llera.  Mady also treasured the time spent with her cousins, Kinsley Kay Brown, and Chase Wayne Brown, along with many other family members and countless friends.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from six o’clock until eight o’clock in the evening on Tuesday, the 14th day of May 2024 at Rhone Funeral Home.

Funeral services are to be conducted at ten o’clock in the morning, on Wednesday, the 15th day of May 2024 at Evangelistic Temple, 3011 Loop 256, in Palestine, with Pastor Zac Baker officiating the service.  Interment will follow in Pilgrim Cemetery, where Mady will be laid to rest with her mother.
