Margaret "Jackie" Reagan Obituary

Margaret Jacklyn (Jackie) Reagan, 83, was born and raised in Dallas, Texas, and lived in Palestine, Texas, for the last 46 years. She passed away peacefully on May 9, 2026, at home surrounded by her family as she entered the gates of Heaven.

Jackie graduated from East Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Education and later earned a Master of Education from Stephen F. Austin University. Jackie taught 5th grade in Palestine for 25 years and was an inspiration to countless students throughout her teaching career. She was known for her kindness, encouragement, and dedication to helping her students believe in themselves, become better students, and grow into the best they could be. She loved sharing her faith in God with everyone she met. She was an active member of Southside Baptist Church and First Baptist Church Neches. Jackie faithfully played an important role in Vacation Bible School for many years and devotedly led the children’s choir, sharing her love of music with children. Every Sunday you could hear her praising God from the choir led by her husband Ronnie.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Ronnie, daughters Angi Totah (Andy), Janet Jolly (John), and sister Joyce Allen Knotts (Kenneth). She is also survived by her beloved niece, Joy Knotts Gilmore, and nephew, Keith Knotts.

When she became a grandmother, she threw herself into the role with joy, love, and enthusiasm welcoming 7 grandchildren, Julie Bice (Johnathan), Joseph Totah (Aaron), Joy Rodriguez (Drew), John Ethan Jolly (Hannah), Gigi Villasana (Topher), Joshua Totah (Stephanie), and Noah Jolly (Lauren); 9 great-grandchildren, Adi Dahl, Jocelyn Bice, Krishna Dahl, Jordyn Bice, Sadie Totah, Emery Jolly, Joseph Totah, Layla Totah, Lainey Totah. Jackie loved nothing more than gathering her grandchildren around the kitchen table for crafts, conversation, laughter and a family meal.  She will be remembered for the joy she found making handmade treasures.  Not only was the kitchen table used for crafts, but she loved making a big pot of spaghetti and having her family over to share a meal.  These times together will be some of the family’s most cherished memories.

A celebration of life service to honor Jackie’s life is to be conducted at eleven o’clock in the morning on Saturday, May 23, 2026, in the Rhone Memorial Chapel with Worship Pastor Topher Villasana officiating the service. Interment will follow in the Pilgrim Cemetery.

Friends are invited to visit with the family one hour prior to the start of service.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Joseph Totah, Joshua Totah, Noah Jolly, John Ethan Jolly, Johnathan Bice, and Drew Rodriguez. Honorary pallbearers include Adi Dahl.
