Marilyn Ann Walsh, beloved wife, Mum, Nana, and friend, passed peacefully into eternal rest on November 7, 2025, joining her cherished grandson Connor and her devoted husband, David, at Heaven’s gates.
Born on July 17, 1936, in South Boston, Massachusetts, to Edward and Margaret Reardon, Marilyn was one of four children. She married the love of her life, David Walsh, on May 30, 1958, and together they built a beautiful life and family. They spent 21 years in Massachusetts, together, raising their boys—David Jr., Michael, Steven, and Brian. Eventually, they settled in Tennessee Colony, Texas, in 1979, where Marilyn called home for the remainder of her life. She retired from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, where she served with dedication, as a radiologic technician.
Though small in stature at just 4’11½”, Marilyn’s presence filled every room she entered. She carried herself with grace, warmth, and quiet strength, always full of life, laughter, and love. Being a mother was the greatest joy and accomplishment of her life. As the devoted Mum of four boys, she poured her heart into raising them with kindness, humor, and unwavering support. Marilyn was full of class and charm, adored by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. She made people feel special, welcomed, and loved. She found happiness in life’s simple treasures: spending time with her family, playing board games, watching golf, sharing stories from her younger years, doting on her cats, and indulging her sweet tooth. Her warmth, humor, and spirited nature left an imprint that will never fade.
She is survived by her four sons, David and wife Dawna, Michael, Steven and wife Regina, and Brian and wife Jodie, grandchildren Swayze, Krystle, Hana, Sara, Sean, and Lauren, and six great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband David, mother and father Edward and Margaret Reardon, her three brothers, Robert, Donald, and Edward, grandson Connor Walsh and grandson Matthew Walsh.
A visitation will be held from six o’clock until eight o’clock in the evening on Monday, November 10, 2025 at Rhone Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at ten o’clock in the morning at Tennessee Colony Cemetery.
Mum—our dear Nana—was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all whose lives she brightened. She lived with love, laughed often, and leaves behind a lifetime of beautiful memories.
