Marshall Walker Obituary

Emmett Marshall Walker, age 75, of Jacksonville, went to be with our loving Lord and Savior on Monday, the 18th day of May 2020.  He was born on the 17th day of February 1945, in Jacksonville, Texas to J. P. Walker and Lucile Edmiston Walker.

Mr. Walker graduated from Jacksonville High School and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.  After returning home from war, he moved to Houston where he owned and operated a hardware store.  Mr. Walker enjoyed reading in his spare time and was a member of Crockett Road Church of Christ.

He is preceded in death by his father J. P. Walker.

Mr. Walker is survived by his caring wife of 53 years Eva Walker; mother, Lucile Walker; daughter, Kelly Shelby of Round Rock, Texas; sons, Jeffrey Walker and James Walker, both of Richmond, Texas; sister, Beverly Ray and husband Charles of Bullard, Texas; brother, Don Walker and wife Holli of Jacksonville, Texas; and grandchildren, Jaxon Shelby and Azlyn Shelby.

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Marshall Walker is to be conducted at two o’clock in the afternoon on Friday, the 22nd day of May 2020, at Crockett Road Church of Christ with Dan Manuel and Bro. Larry Smith officiating. 

Graveside services will be at four o’clock in the afternoon, on Friday, the 22nd day of May, at Jacksonville City Cemetery in Jacksonville, Texas.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family one hour prior to the commencement of service at Crockett Road Church of Christ.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Cliff Ray, Clint Ray, Justin Walker, Chris Walker, Larry Bolton and Jim McMahon.

In lieu of customary remembrances, memorial contributions in Mr. Marshall Walker’s memory can be directed towards “Give Me the Bible” TV program, 1717 Crockett Road, Palestine, Texas 75801.
