Martha Darlene (Nemec) Jones

Martha Darlene (Nemec) Jones, “Gramma,” age 67, of Palestine, passed away after a month-long battle with covid, on the 23rd of January 2021. Martha was born in College Station, Texas, on the 8th of September 1953, to parents Joseph B. Nemec and Elsie Novosad Nemec.

Martha was a member of Harmony Baptist Church and worked for Elara Caring. She enjoyed Hallmark movies, game shows, playing with her grandkids, and teaching children in Sunday school. She constantly brought joy and happiness to those around her with her selfless attitude.

Martha is survived by her loving family including her daughter, Ginny Hildebrandt and husband Jon, of Africa; sons Joseph Michael Jones of Palestine, Texas, and Steven Jones and wife Sarah, of Kaufman, Texas; and grandchildren Josiah, Mara, Madilyn, Micah, Maegan, and Brooklyn. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Elsie Nemec and brother Lawrence Nemec.

The family will have a memorial service for Martha at a later date.
