Merle F. Koepnick Baldree, of Palestine, entered eternal rest with our loving Savior on Sunday, the 17th day of May 2020. Mrs. Baldree passed away at Palestine Regional Medical Center at the age of 80. She was born on the 1st day of November 1939, in Palestine, Texas, to Alfred Oscar Koepnick and Carrie Ruth Heath Koepnick.
Mrs. Baldree grew up in a large family. She was the third triplet born and the last triplet to survive. She married at age 14 and raised her three children. Mrs. Baldree was very conservative and was known to pinch a penny into a dollar. She was a Christian lady who loved the Lord with all her heart. Her hobbies included baking, canning, and working in her garden.
She is preceded in death by her parents Alfred and Ruth Koepnick; husband, George F. Baldree, Sr.; sisters, Lucille Weisinger, Marilyn Gibbons, Gertrude Thrash, Margorie King; brothers, Fessell (Patti) Koepnick, Norman (Doolie) Koepnick, Malcom Koepnick and Alfred Oscar Koepnick, Jr.
Mrs. Baldree is survived by her daughters Mary L. Baldree of Kempner, TX, Sallie A. Miera and husband Jim of Palm Harbor, FL; son, George F. Baldree, Jr. and wife Susan of Elkhart, TX; sisters, Harriette Johnson and husband Donald, Pat Little and husband Clyde, Rhoshel Steib and husband John; brothers, Max Koepnick and wife Beth, Harrison Koepnick and wife Lynda; grandchildren, C. J. Saegert, Josh Baldree and wife Tori and Cameron Baldree. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from six o’clock until eight o’clock in the evening on Tuesday, the 19th day of May 2020 at Rhone Funeral Home.
A graveside service to celebrate Merle Baldree’s life is to be conducted at two o’clock in the afternoon on Wednesday, the 20th day of May 2020 at Roselawn Park.
