It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Kane Boyd, a beloved son, father, brother, and friend, who left this world on March 3, 2025, at the age of 36. Michael was born to parents John Randall Boyd and Karen Berryhill Boyd on February 7, 1989, in Palestine, Texas, where he spent his entire life surrounded by the love of family and friends.
Michael was a proud graduate of the Westwood High School class of 2007. After completing his education, he dedicated himself to a career in the oilfield, where his hard work and determination were well recognized.
Michael's greatest joy came from his role as a father to his nine children, Coby, Landrie, Bentley, Mackenzie, Sophia, Rylee, Gunner, Teagan, and Kaylee Boyd. He often spoke about the pride he felt in being their dad and cherished every moment spent with them. His children were his world, and he created countless memories filled with love and laughter.
In addition to his dedication to his family, Michael was an active member of the Cornerstone Worship Center, where he built meaningful connections within his church family and found strength in his faith. He approached life with a generous spirit and shared his love for the outdoors, frequently indulging in his passions for hunting, fishing, horseback riding, and farming.
Michael’s relationships extended beyond his immediate family. He is survived by his loving parents, John and Karen Boyd, his brother Cody Boyd and sister-in-law Kayla, as well as his cherished nieces and nephews, Aubree Castillo, Blakley Boyd, and Lincoln Boyd, his Aunts and Uncle, Linda Allen, Candice and Randall Johnson and many friends.
A memorial service to honor and celebrate Michael's life will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Cornerstone Worship Center with Pastor David Malone officiating the service.
Memorial and cremation services for Michael Kane Boyd are in care of Rhone Funeral Home, 3900 S. State Highway 19, Palestine, Texas. Please visit his online memorial tribute at www.rhonefuneralhome.com, where words of comfort and condolence may be shared electronically with his family.
