Mildred Yvonne (Wilkins) Dickey

Mildred Yvonne Dickey, of Grapeland, Texas, passed peacefully into the loving arms of Jesus on Monday, the 22nd day of June 2026, at the age of 90. She was born on the 12th day of October 1935 in Grapeland, Texas, to parents John Wilkins and Ina Rogers Wilkins. She was the youngest of four children and was blessed with a close-knit family that helped shape the loving and compassionate woman she would become.

Mrs. Dickey lived a life centered on faith, love, and devotion to her family. She dearly loved her husband and cherished every moment spent with those closest to her. An avid gardener and gifted cook, she found joy in caring for others and creating a warm and welcoming home filled with love and treasured memories.

Above all, Mrs. Dickey's life was rooted in her faith. She loved attending church and was a faithful member of Percilla Community Church. Her trust in the Lord and her kind, servant's heart were an inspiration to all who knew her.

Mrs. Dickey is preceded in death by her parents, John and Ina Wilkins; sisters, Bernice Bowley, Veva Jean Lively; and brother, Jimmy Wilkins.

She is survived by her loving family including her husband of 70 years, Loyd Dickey; son, Roger Dickey and wife Donna; grandchildren, Aaron Cupit and wife Renee`, Sarah Cupit, Blake Dickey and wife Abby; and great-grandchildren, Charlotte Cupit, Canon Cupit, and Colton Dickey. She also leaves behind numerous other family members and friends.

Funeral services to celebrate Mrs. Dickey’s life are to be conducted at two o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, the 27th day of June 2026 in the Sanctuary of Percilla Community Church, 16005 FM 2022 N., Grapeland, Texas with Rev. Kenny Bush and Bro. Josh Lindsey officiating the service. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.

Friends are invited to visit with the family one hour before the start of service.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Aaron Cupit, Blake Dickey, David Wilkins, Danny Wilkins, Cruze Harrison, and Jay Jenckes. Honorary pallbearers include Jimmy Chambers and Jesse Jenckes.
