Nathan Henderson, 39, of Palestine, Texas, passed away on September 17, 2024, at his home in Crandall, Texas. He was a renowned Computer Engineer at the time of his passing. Nathan was born on June 22, 1985, in Palestine, TX to Fred and Joyce Henderson.
He graduated from Westwood High School in May 2002 and went on to enlist in the United States Military. He proudly served in the Army from 2003 to 2007, beginning his training at Fort Bragg, and starting his duty at Fort Hood. In 2004 to 2005, he was sent with the Signal Corp Battalion and served in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Nathan is survived by his sons William and James Henderson, his wife Jennifer Henderson, and his stepsons Roman and Noah Gonzalez. He is also survived by loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and numerous friends. He was preceded in death by his father Fred Henderson and his mother Joyce Henderson. Nathan will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
He was known for his sense of humor, his love for his children, and his passion for the outdoors. His legacy will live on through the many lives he touched. He enjoyed volunteering his time by serving disabled veterans in his community through service projects and supporting the Veterans of Foreign Wars’ various causes. Nathan Henderson’s memory will be cherished, and he will forever remain in our hearts.
A graveside service with military honors is to be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 12, 2024 at Roselawn Park in Palestine, Texas.
