Nikki Jean Reeves, of Elkhart, Texas, went to be with the Lord on the 16th day of December 2021. Mrs. Reeves passed away at Christus Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler, Texas at the age of 70. She was born on the 18th day of October 1951, in Dallas, Texas, to parents James “Jim” Sharp and Neta Kuchenbacker Sharp.
Mrs. Reeves lived a happy and full life. She loved children and worked as a neonatal nurse in the Intensive Care Unit her entire career before retiring. Throughout Mrs. Reeves’ life, she enjoyed traveling and going on cruises to new destinations. Many of her trips revolved around the ocean, where she was able to enjoy her greatest passion of scuba diving. Mrs. Reeves was a caring lady who touched many lives during the course of her life. She will be greatly missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents Jim Sharp and Neta Kuchenbacker, and brother, Jim Sharp.
Mrs. Reeves is survived by her sons, Grady Reeves, Larry Reeves and wife Elizabeth “Liz”; sister, Kay Pickett and husband Kendall; brother, Karl Kuchenbacker; and six grandchildren.
Mrs. Reeves lived a simple life and did not want an elaborate service. She just wanted her friends and family to get together, visit, and share memories.
A memorial visitation will be held from four o’clock until six o’clock in the afternoon, on Sunday, the 19th day of December 2021, at Rhone Funeral Home.
In lieu of customary remembrances, memorial contributions can be directed towards St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
