On Sunday, the 19th day of June 2022, Oleta Raye Lambert, of Mabank, Texas, passed away peacefully and joined our loving Lord and Savior in Heaven. She was 86 years of age. Ms. Lambert was born in Chico, Texas on the 21st day of November 1935 to parents Forrest Leslie Hall and Ptelea Poteet Hall.
Ms. Lambert was a lifelong Christian and a member of the Church of Christ. Her devotion to the Lord molded her life in many ways. She was a loving and caring lady with a sharp wit, who enjoyed cooking, working puzzles, gardening, reading books, loving on her grand-dog Sugar, and spending time with her loving family. Ms. Lambert was known as an artistic and creative soul who found pleasure in painting, creating many pieces using seashells, and making quilts for her family and friends. She also worked with ceramics, sculpting, and painting them into beautiful pieces. Her love for crafting led her to own and operate a craft store in Richardson, Texas for many years, where she taught various classes. Ms. Lambert also worked as an administrative assistant for Marathon Oil before retiring. Ms. Lambert was a shining light to all those around her and touched many lives throughout her lifetime. Even though she has departed to her heavenly home she will live forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Ms. Lambert is preceded in death by her parents Forrest and Ptelea Hall; son, Joseph Lambert; twin sister, Eola Rhyne; sister-in-law, Rhea Hall; brothers, Forrest Leslie Hall, Jr., Keith Hall, and Ralph Hall who passed away as an infant.
Ms. Lambert leaves behind her daughter, Danna Wolfe and husband David; son, Mark Lambert and wife Lisa; brother, Perry Hall; grandchildren, Sydney Wolfe, Jordan Wolfe, Michael Lambert, Laura Graves and husband Chad, and Natalie Preston and husband Chris, and Taylor Standridge. Also left to cherish her memory are her great-grandchildren, Clara, Chloe, Penny, Joey, Kona, and Kaimana, along with many other nieces and nephews, other family members and friends.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Ms. Lambert are to be conducted at eleven o’clock in the morning, on Saturday, the 25th day of June 2022 in the Rhone Memorial Chapel with Dan Manuel officiating. Interment will follow in Parker Cemetery.
Friends are invited to visit with the family one hour prior to the start of the service at Rhone Funeral Home.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Kris Preston, Michael Lambert, Chad Graves, David Wolfe, Thomas Cobb, and Bruce Collins.
The family would like to thank her longtime caregiver and best friend, Cindy Carrington, who became like a daughter and was affectionately referred to as “Mom” by Cindy. Also, thank you to the staff of Mabank Nursing Home, Dawn, and the staff of Solaris Hospice for the compassionate and attentive care they provided.
