Patricia Ross Obituary

Patricia Lee Ross, of Palestine, Texas, left this world for her home in Heaven on Thursday, the 28th day of September 2023.  She was 55 years of age.  Patricia was born in Jackson, Tennessee on the 22nd day of July 1968 to parents Thomas Hardin and Thelma Green Hardin.

A dedicated nurse by profession, Patricia retired after many years of service, cherishing every moment she spent helping others. Her nursing career was not just a job for her, but a vocation, a calling that allowed her to touch countless lives in meaningful ways. This passion for service extended far beyond her professional life, defining her relationships with family, friends, and her broader community.

Patricia's love for her family was boundless, especially for her cherished grandchildren. She found immense joy in their company, treasuring every moment spent with them. Her face would light up with a smile that was as warm as it was infectious, every time she was around her grandchildren.

A remarkable cook, Patricia's kitchen was always filled with the aroma of delicious dishes. She loved spending time in the grocery store, meticulously picking out the best ingredients for her culinary creations. Her meals were a testament to her love for her family, each dish carefully prepared and served with a generous helping of love.

Patricia was a woman of simple pleasures. She took great delight in watching a good crime or medical show. "Blue Bloods" and "In the Heat of the Night" were among her favorites, her eyes lighting up with anticipation every time the theme music would start. This interest was an extension of her professional life, as she enjoyed seeing her beloved profession portrayed on the small screen.

Patricia was a beacon of love and selflessness, generously sharing her time, wisdom, and resources with those around her. She was a woman who lived her life with purpose and passion, always putting others before herself. Her legacy is one of love, service, and generosity, a legacy that will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Patricia will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.  She leaves behind her daughters, Christina Mays and husband Benaiah, and Courtney Mays and husband Russell, all of Palestine, Texas; son, Brandon Hardin and fiancé Terrishuna Harris, of Palestine, Texas; sisters, Suzanne Lewellen and husband Robert, and Jennifer Hardin, all of Jackson, Tennessee; brother, David Hardin, of Camden, Tennessee; and ten grandchildren, Marquez Hardin, Marquise Mays, Kinslee Mays, Lailani Mays, Jenesis Hardin, Majesty Mays, Janiya Hardin, Na’Kylee Mays, Oaklee Mays, and Baby Mays, whom she held dear to her heart.

She is preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Thelma Hardin, her husband, Michael Ross; and her brother, Thomas Wayne Hardin.

Patricia will be cremated, and the family will have a celebration to honor her life at a later date.

Patricia’s memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched, a testament to a life well-lived. Her spirit, her love, and her generosity will continue to inspire us, reminding us of the power of kindness and the importance of service to others.
