Randy Glenn Myers, age 63, of Palestine, Texas passed away at his home on Tuesday, the 1st day of July 2025 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on the 30th day of January 1962 in Anderson County, Texas to parents Ernest Myers and Helen Mullin. Mr. Myers's life was marked by his love for his family, great sense of humor, and deep faith, which guided him through a life rich in family, laughter, and love.
Mr. Myers was a jokester at heart, always ready with a joke or a playful prank, bringing smiles to the faces of those around him. His laughter was infectious, and his presence brought warmth and joy to any gathering. A man of strong Christian belief, Mr. Myers lived his faith through his actions, embodying the principles of love, generosity, and compassion in his daily life.
Mr. Myers was known for his love of bingo, dominoes, and bowling. His passion for the outdoors was evident, as he spent countless hours fishing and hunting, sharing stories and laughter with friends and family. He also took great pride in his gardening skills.
He is preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Helen Myers; daughters, Rosie Bates and Judy Lee; sisters, June Myers, Dorothy Caldwell, and Shirley Thornton Myers; and brothers, Billey Myers and Albert Myers.
As a dedicated family man, Randy's greatest legacy is the love he instilled in his family. He is survived by his devoted wife of 18 years, Mabell Myers; daughters Loria Gibson, Susan Shirey, Juanita Shirey, Becky Jenkins, and Trina Martin; son, Ronnie Moore and spouse Terrye Moore; and his sister, Sheila Granger. His memory will be cherished by his eighteen grandchildren, thirty-two great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, and the numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members who were blessed to know him.
Memorial services to celebrate Mr. Myers’s life are to be conducted at two o’clock in the afternoon on Sunday, the 6th day of July 2025 in the Rhone Memorial Chapel. Friends are invited to visit with the family one hour prior to the start of the service at Rhone Funeral Home.
