Raymond Lee Johnston was born in Abilene, Texas on July 13, 1953, and went to be with his Lord and Savior on September 23rd, 2023. He passed peacefully surrounded by his family.
Raymond grew up in Monahans, Texas, graduated from Monahans High School where he met and married his late high school sweetheart, Cindy Lucas. He later found love again with his wife Kathee and had just celebrated their 37th anniversary this month. Raymond was blessed to have met two wonderful women. He loved them both dearly and they truly fulfilled his life, and he theirs.
He worked for Mobil Exploration and Producing and retired from ExxonMobil in 2011. He earned an associate degree in electrical science and a BS in business management/marketing. He lived a full life with an excellent sense of humor and the ability to MacGyver anything, making many memories beekeeping, riding motorcycles, hunting, golfing, traveling, and cooking.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ward “Rocky” and Rayma Johnston, his first wife, Cindy Lucas Johnston and his nephew, Stephen Neace.
Survivors include his wife Kathee Eggleston Johnston of Palestine, Texas, brother, Greg Johnston of Bakersfield, California, sister, Guyma Neace (Billy) of Monahans, Texas, daughters, Kristi Johnston Patton (Brandon), DeeDee Johnston Beard (Chad), Chelsee Johnston McKnight (Aaron), grandchildren, Cullen Beard, Coty Beard, Emma Patton, Neely Patton, and great grandchildren, Kylie, Aubrey, Grayson, Kash and Harrison.
A private memorial for the family will be held at a later date.

Cremation services for Raymond Lee Johnston are in care of Rhone Funeral Home, 3900 S. State Highway 19, Palestine, Texas.
