Robby Odessa (Todd) Boyett

Robby Odessa Boyett, age 98, of Neches, Texas, departed this life to live with the Lord in Heaven on Saturday, the 7^th day of January 2023.  Mrs. Boyett was born the youngest of six children to parents Edgar Todd and Ruby Copeland Todd, in Neches, Texas, on the 30^th day of June 1924.

Mrs. Boyett graduated from Neches High School and Nixon Business School. She moved to Dallas and went on to work for several different companies before accepting a secretarial job at Lone Star Steel.  There, she worked many years upon meeting David Boyett, marrying, and moved to Austin for 20 years. 

Mrs. Boyett loved spending time with her family and friends.  She also enjoyed decorating her house for all the holidays. Mrs. Boyett was a devout Christian and a member of the Crockett Road Church of Christ.  She loved to worship the Lord and attend church services and various fellowships with her Christian brothers and sisters.  Mrs. Boyett had a servant’s heart and volunteered much of her time to different organizations throughout her life.  Her generous spirit and extraordinary heart will live on in the lives of everyone she touched in this lifetime.

Mrs. Boyett was preceded in death by her parents Edgar and Ruby Todd; husband, David Ruffin Boyett; daughter, Penne Boyett; and her five sisters, Neva Hefner, Verna Brown, Macy Wall, Bobby Frase, and Melba Holmes.

Left to cherish the beautiful memories are her daughter, Pam Boyett and husband David Parker, of Palestine; son, Michael Boyett, of Austin; two grandsons, Matthew Boyett, and Justin Laurent; and her great-grandchildren, Jade-Lynn Laurent, Alexis Laurent, and Xander Laurent.  She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.

A memorial service to celebrate Mrs. Boyett’s life is to be conducted at one o’clock in the afternoon, on Saturday, the 14^th day of January 2023 at Crockett Road Church of Christ with Dan Manuel officiating.

Prior to the service the family will have a private burial in Neches Cemetery in Neches, Texas.

In lieu of customary remembrances, memorial contributions in Mrs. Boyett’s memory can be directed toward the Neches Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 201, Neches, Texas 75779.
