Ronald Camp Obituary

Ronald Ray Camp, age 66, of Palestine, passed away on Tuesday, the 9th day of March 2021, and is now in the presence of his loving Lord and Savior.  He was born on the 21st day of January 1955, in Palestine, Texas, to parents Homer Camp and Nelwyn Jean Langston Camp.

Mr. Camp, better known as “Peanut” or affectionately called “Bubba” by his nieces and nephews, lived life to the fullest.  He had a fun-loving personality and enjoyed laughing, joking, and fishing.  Mr. Camp was a hard worker and worked in the oil industry for most of his life. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Nelwyn Camp and sister, Patsy Ann Taff.

Mr. Camp is survived by his life-long companion Billie Norman; his brother, Edward Camp; nieces, Christal Carter, Misti Yorgersen, Summer Kaye Burleson, Denee Denis, Tiffany Taff; nephews, John Camp and Cody Taff; and a multitude of great-nieces and great-nephews and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. 

Graveside services to celebrate Mr. Camp’s life are to be conducted at half-past two o’clock in the afternoon, on Saturday the 13th day of March 2021 at Starr Cemetery with Bro. Craig Harris officiating.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Ben Carter, Sam Carter, Travis Carter, Andrew Camp, Joshua Yorgersen, and Andy Cleavland.

Funeral services for Ronald Ray Camp are in care of Rhone Funeral Home, 3900 S. State Highway 19, Palestine, Texas.
