Ross Cleveland Richardson, Jr.

Ross Cleveland Richardson, Jr., age 56, of Crockett, Texas, passed away on Friday, the 29th day of April 2022 in Galveston, Texas. Ross was born on the 27th day of September 1965, in Crockett, Texas, to parents Ross Richardson and Mattie Nick Richardson.

Ross was blessed with a large and loving family.  He let you know daily he was thinking about you. Ross was always punctual and well organized. Being outdoors, whether it was traveling the world or being at the beach, made Ross happy. He was a loyal father, grandfather, and friend, that you could call on him for anything.  His love for all animals was known by all who knew him. He served in the U.S. Army proudly for over 20 years. He will be greatly missed by his loving family, devoted friends, and all the wonderful individuals who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Rodney Richardson.

Ross leaves behind his mother, Mattie Richardson; father, Ross and wife Jean Richardson; daughters, Sydney McMeans and husband Josh of Palestine, Lynda Bookout and husband Josh of Wichita Falls; sons, Ross Clayton Richardson, Jian Richardson, Lane Nealy of Palestine; sisters, Joneen Richardson, Kelly Pyle and husband Judd, Arlene Benge and husband Eric, Sandra Johnston and husband Ralph, Sondra Davis, and Debra Currie; and grandchildren Elizabeth McMeans, Wyatt McMeans, Layna Richardson, and Jameson Bookout. Ross is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.

A memorial service to honor Ross’s life is to be conducted at ten o’clock in the morning on Saturday, the 7th day of May 2022 in the Rhone Memorial Chapel with Paul Jones officiating. 

Friends are invited to visit with the family, beginning at nine o’clock in the morning, at Rhone Funeral Home prior to the start of the service.
