Roy Lee McCarty, Sr.

Roy Lee McCarty, age 71, of Palestine, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, the 18th day of August 2022.  Mr. McCarty was born in DeRidder, Louisiana, on the 15th day of November 1950.  He worked in the oil field and as a rancher most of his life.

Mr. McCarty is survived by his children, Hope Smith and husband Cornelius, Roy McCarty and wife Shasta, and James Armstrong, all of Palestine, Texas.  He also leaves behind other family members and friends.

The family will host a memorial service to celebrate Mr. McCarty’s life at a later date.

Cremation services for Roy Lee McCarty are in care of Rhone Funeral Home, 3900 S. State Highway 19, Palestine, Texas.
