Ruth Ann (Holt) Moore

Ruth Ann Moore, age 72, of Keller, Texas and formerly of Palestine, Texas, passed away on Monday, the 23^rd day of January 2023, in the care of Heart to Heart Hospice in Fort Worth.  Mrs. Moore was born on the 23^rd day of June 1950, in San Antonio, Texas, to parents Roy Holt and Ruth Starkey Holt.

Mrs. Moore was a loving Christian lady, who never met a stranger and loved to be surrounded by people.  She worked for Wal-Mart for 17 years.  She had a deep devotion to her husband and children and was humbly delighted when her grandchildren came into the world. 

Mrs. Moore held the Lord close to heart.  She was a former member of Walston Springs Baptist Church and Memory Lane Missionary Baptist Church in Palestine.  While attending services she formed many lasting friendships.  She found pleasure in reading books, cuddling her cats, and doting on her grandchildren.  Mrs. Moore had a soft heart and an undeniable love for others that will never be forgotten.  

In Heaven, she joins her parents Roy and Ruth Holt, son Michael Wayne Moore, daughter-in-law Cheri Moore, and her brother Roy Melvin Holt.

Mrs. Moore is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Travis Moore; daughters, Angela Ray and husband Raymond of Lewisville, Texas, Kelli Saltzman and husband Brian of Keller, Texas; sisters, Zona Marlene Benton and husband Bobby of Palestine, Texas, and Margie Thompson of Tyler, Texas. Also left to cherish the sweet memories are Mrs. Moore’s grandchildren that she loved dearly, Bailey Ray and wife Sami, Landon Saltzman, Keaton Saltzman, and Jonathan Moore.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation from five o’clock until seven o’clock in the evening on Friday, the 27^th day of January 2023 in the Parlor of Rhone Funeral Home.

A funeral service honoring the life of Mrs. Moore is to be conducted at three o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, the 28^th day of January 2023 in the Rhone Memorial Chapel with Rex Jackson officiating the service.  Interment will follow in Guiceland Cemetery.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Brian Saltzman, Landon Saltzman, Keaton Saltzman, Raymond Ray, Bailey Ray, Jonathan Moore, Bobby Benton, and Ronnie Moore.
