Sally Lavern King Stubbs, of Palestine, was called to her eternal home on Wednesday, the 11th day of March 2020. Mrs. Stubbs passed away at Palestine Regional Medical Center at the age of 75. She was born on the 3rd day of March 1945, in Palestine, Texas, to Frank L. Deal-King and Ethel E. Rea.
Mrs. Stubbs loved spending time with her grandchildren and playing board games. Her hobbies included fishing and collecting wolves and Indian figurines.
She is preceded in death by her parents Frank and Ethel Rea King; sisters, Lilly Joyce King, Hannah Melissa King, Mary Jewel King; brothers, Lawrence Farrell King, Travis Davis King; and a grandchild, Amber Lawson.
Mrs. Stubbs is survived by her daughters, Mary Lawson-Estrada and Linda Wright; stepdaughters, Sandra Diane Stubbs Gonzalas and Tammy Annette Stubbs Mitchell; twelve grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral services to celebrate Sally Stubbs life is to be conducted at two o’clock in the afternoon on Monday, the 16th day of March 2020, in the Rhone Memorial Chapel with Bro. W. E. Shiflet officiating. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Elkhart.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from one o’clock until the commencement of service on Monday, the 16th day of March 2020, at Rhone Funeral Home.
