Sandra Lee (Nelson) Finke

Sandra Lee Finke, age 74, of Grapeland, Texas, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Friday, the 19th day of December 2025.  Sandra was born in Pasadena, Texas on the 3rd day of November 1951 to parents Billy Mack Nelson and ONeta Nelson.

Sandra was a graduate of Pasadena High School.  Her professional life was marked by her tenure as a secretary at the Texas Commission for the Blind, where her exceptional work ethic and compassionate nature earned her the honor of Employee of the Month.

A devoted Christian, Sandra attended the First Methodist Church of Grapeland. Her interests were a reflection of her loving spirit. She was an avid quilter, often gifting her beautiful creations to friends and family. Her passion for travel led her and her husband on numerous adventures across the country, creating memories that will be cherished forever. Sandra was a remarkable wife and mother, whose love knew no bounds. Her role as a grandmother was one she embraced with all her heart, cherishing every moment spent with her grandchildren.

Her love extended to her two beloved pets, who were a source of joy and companionship throughout her life. Sandra's thoughtful nature was especially evident when she spent eight weeks with each of her daughters when they had their children, providing support and sharing in the joy of new life.

Sandra’s presence was a gift to all who had the privilege of knowing her, and her influence will continue to be felt through the countless lives she touched.  Sandra is survived by her devoted husband Ronald Finke; her loving daughters, Stacy Lee Finke Fore and husband David of Seabrook, Texas, and Kelly Lynn Finke Miller and husband Brice of Fredericksburg, Virginia; and her adored grandchildren Payton Fore, Madison Miller, and Ashlynn Fore, all of whom will carry forward her legacy of love and kindness.

A graveside service to celebrate Sandra Finke’s life will be conducted at ten o’clock in the morning on Tuesday, the 23rd day of December 2025 at Latexo Cemetery in Latexo, Texas.
