Sandra Kay Huddleston, age 65, of Elkhart, Texas, passed away with her loving family by her side on Thursday, the 10th day of July 2025, in Tyler, Texas. She was born on the 28th day of April 1960 to parents Robert “Sonny” Storey and Shirley Morris Storey.
Born and raised in Palestine, Texas, Sandra spent much of her time in the great outdoors. She had a passion for hunting and fishing and her world revolved around her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. “Nana” as she was affectionately known, was a source of comfort and love, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Sandra’s departure leaves a void that cannot be filled, but the warmth she spread will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched. She leaves behind her sons, John and Angie Huddleston of Waco, Texas, Martin and Cathrine Huddleston of Palestine, Texas, and Terry and Christin Huddleston of Neches, Texas. She will also be missed by her sister Beverly Powell and James of Elkhart, Texas and her brother Bobby and Vanita Storey of Tyler, Texas, along with eight grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Sandra is preceded in death by her parents, Sonny and Shirley Storey, husband Martin Huddleston, and her sister Debra Lane.
Sandra will be cremated, and her family will gather for a service at a later date.
Cremation services for Sandra Kay Huddleston are in care of Rhone Funeral Home, 3900 S. State Highway 19, Palestine, Texas. Please visit her online memorial tribute at www.rhonefuneralhome.com, where words of comfort and condolence may be shared electronically with her family.
