Skipper Pierce Obituary

Skipper Kate Pierce, precious daughter of Noah and Sayler LeBlanc Pierce, entered and departed this world on the 17th day of April 2024.  Skipper was born at Trinity Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler, Texas, encompassed by her family and an extensive amount of love.  Though her time on earth was brief, her presence was a profound gift that touched the hearts of those around her.

Born with anencephaly, Skipper’s journey, while short, impacted many.  Since the announcement of her arrival, Skipper has brought indescribable joy and a sense of unity to her family and community.  While Skipper may not have ever spoken an earthly word, her life spoke to the testament of our Heavenly Father’s love for us, as well as the preciousness of each moment, for we are not promised tomorrow.

Skipper's life will forever be remembered as a lighthouse of love and hope in the hearts of those who knew her.  She leaves behind her parents; five-year-old sister, Harper Pierce; grandparents, Chad and Chastity LeBlanc, Chunk and Susie Linn, and David Pierce; great-grandparents, Bobby and Janet Wilmeth, Shellie LeBlanc, Ronnie and Betty Pierce, and Juanita Hicks.  Skipper was also a blessing to her uncles and aunts, Cayden and Jonathan Luce, Cooper LeBlanc, Bre Pierce and Jeremy Pierce; special friend who has been there throughout the journey, Jordin Chase; in addition to numerous cousins, other family members, and friends.

Skipper is preceded in death by her great-grandparents Charles LeBlanc, Billy Joe and Sylvia Thomas, Michael Cook, Carolyn Linn, and aunt, Savannah Pierce.

Funeral services for Skipper Kate Pierce are to be conducted at two o’clock in the afternoon, on Wednesday, the 24th day of April 2024 at Evangelistic Temple with Bro. Steve McCann officiating the service.  A private family interment will follow in Fort Houston Cemetery.

A visitation where friends can express their love and support to the family will be held one hour prior to the start of service at Evangelistic Temple in Palestine, Texas.

Honorary pallbearers include Jonathan Luce, Cooper LeBlanc, Jeremy Pierce, and Chris Davis.

“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”  Revelation 21:4

“Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”  Hebrews 12:1-2
