Stacey Jenell Musick

Stacey Jenell Musick, age 63, of Palestine, Texas, a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away at her home on October 15, 2023, surrounded by her loving daughters. She was born in Palestine, Texas on July 11, 1960, to Virgil Sims, Jr. and Helen May Sims. Stacey lived a life full of love, kindness, and an undeniable zest for life.

Known for her captivating charm and nurturing spirit, Stacey was a beacon of love and warmth to all who knew her. She was the kind of person who made everyone feel special, always filling the room with her contagious laughter and positivity. Her loving nature extended far beyond her immediate family to the many clients she served at Stacey's Styling Salon, where she worked for over 40 years. Stacey was a dedicated fan of the television show The Waltons.

Stacey had a passion for genealogy, tracing the roots of her family tree with a keen eye and a deep appreciation for her heritage. Her love for gardening was evident in the lush, blooming plants that filled her greenhouse. She was also a tireless adventurer, always ready for a new experience or a spontaneous trip. Every summer, she would take her beloved grandchildren to Splash Kingdom, creating memories that they will cherish forever. Last summer, she took them on a special journey to visit all the historical markers in Anderson County, instilling in them a love for history and their hometown. She will be greatly missed.

Stacey joins in Heaven her parents, Virgil and Helen Sims; brothers, Keith Sims, and Gary Sims, whom she remembered with fondness and love.

Her family was her pride and joy, and she loved them fiercely. She leaves behind her daughters, Amber Musick and husband John Cato, and Megan Musick. She was a doting grandmother to Heath, Maggie, Serenity, Brianna, and Carrie Anne Cato. Serenity's fiancé, Dallas Hinojosa, also held a special place in her heart.

The family will host a private memorial at a later date.
