Stacy Anne Burke, age 66, of Grapeland, Texas, entered eternal rest with our Lord and Savior on Monday the 8th day of December 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Stacy was born on the 5th day of August 1959 in Houston, Texas, to parents John A. Skeen and Dorothy Anne Smith Skeen.
Stacy is survived by her devoted husband, Richard "Rusty" Burke, who stood by her side in every chapter of their life together. Her love and memories will be cherished by her mother, Anne Skeen, who instilled in her the values of kindness and generosity that defined her character. Stacy's stepchildren, Kayla Burke and Ross Burke, along with his wife Kim, will remember her as a guiding light and a source of unwavering support. Her sister, Stephanie Spears, will miss the bond they shared, filled with laughter, tears, and sisterly love. Stacy’s grandchildren, Ryden, Ellie, and Kylie Burke, will forever remember their Gigi's warmth and the gentle way she made each of them feel special. She also leaves behind her fur-babies, Jax and Roxie, other family members, and a host of friends who were all touched by her loving spirit.
She is preceded in death by her father, John Skeen; brothers, John Skeen, Jr., and Howell Clifford Skeen; and her sister, Patricia Lynn Skeen.
For 23 years, Stacy dedicated her professional life to the Gold Eye Clinic, where she not only retired from but also found a second family. Stacy's passion for her work was matched only by her love for her family and her enthusiasm for the arts. She was a supporter of Broadway shows and musicals, especially those starring her close friend Kevin Cahoon.
Stacy's compassion extended beyond her immediate circle to all living creatures. Her love for animals was a reflection of her gentle soul. Those who knew Stacy would describe her as loving, kind, and compassionate—a woman whose heart knew no bounds and whose generosity was felt by all.
