With heavy hearts, the family of Stephen Ray Tucker announces his passing on Monday, the 8th day of June 2026, at the age of 57. He was born to parents Bobby Tucker and Galenda Taylor Tucker on the 9th day of July 1968 in Rusk, Texas. Stephen was a devoted family man and a friend to many, whose kindness and talents touched the lives of those around him.
Stephen was a man who enjoyed the simple things in life and never shied away from hard work. An avid fan of racing, he spent many weekends cheering for his favorite drivers and fully embracing the thrill of every NASCAR race. He loved hunting and fishing and spent countless hours doing the things he enjoyed most. Stephen was a proud graduate of Palestine High School and Aerotech Aviation Welding School. A talented welder and mechanic, Stephen had a gift for working on small engines and was known by family and friends as a true jack of all trades. If something was broken, chances are Stephen could fix it.
More than anything, Stephen cherished time with his family. He especially loved his grandchildren and treasured every moment spent with them. His kindness, knowledge, and willingness to lend a helping hand will be remembered by all who knew and loved him. Stephen's memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, and he will be deeply missed.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Tucker.
Stephen leaves behind his mother Galenda Tucker; daughters, Stepfanie Davis and husband Kevin, Kaylie Romero and husband Brandon; sister, Lori Baker and husband Ricky; brother, Chris Tucker and wife Shannon; and three beautiful grandchildren, Madison Davis, Mason Davis, and Landon Romero.
A celebration of life service to honor Stephen will be conducted at four o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, the 20th day of June 2026 in the Rhone Memorial Chapel.
