Terry B. Marshall of Elkhart, Texas, went home to be with his loving Lord and Savior on Wednesday, the 27th day of August 2025, surrounded by the warmth of his family. He was 84 years of age when the Lord called him home. Mr. Marshall was born in O’Donnell, Texas on the 31st day of May 1941 to parents Rex H. Marshall and Magdalene Terry Marshall.
Mr. Marshall left an indelible mark on the hearts of his beloved wife of nearly 40 years, Malinda Marshall, and their children. He was a cherished father to his daughter, Amy Jones and husband Roger; his sons, Charley Kennedy and wife Cindy, Jack Marshall, and Kenneth Marshall. He is also survived by his brother, Tommy Marshall. His legacy extends to his twelve grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, all of whom he adored and often regaled with his endless repertoire of jokes.
He is preceded in death by his parents Rex and Magdalene Marshall; son, Michael Marshall; sisters, Sammye Lebow, Peggy Brewer, Billie White; and brother, Rex Marshall, Jr.
Mr. Marshall's commitment to his country was as steadfast as his love for his family. He served with honor in the United States Army for 21 years, dedicating himself to multiple tours in Vietnam. After retiring from military service, he continued to apply his skills and experience at Dyn-Corp in Germany, where he worked for many years, further extending his legacy of service.
Beyond his professional life, Mr. Marshall was an avid golfer, finding solace and joy on the greens. His passion for Appaloosa horses was evident to all who knew him, especially in the bond he shared with his beloved horse, Teddy Bear. He was known for his humor, a common jokester whose wit was as sharp as it was endearing. Mr. Marshall was a pillar of his family, his love for them the bedrock upon which their lives were built. Mr. Marshall's presence will be profoundly missed by his family members, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to cross paths with him.
Memorial services with Military Honors to celebrate Terry Marshall’s life are to be conducted at two o’clock in the afternoon, on Thursday, September 4, 2025, in the Rhone Memorial Chapel with Bro. Jamie Hogan officiating the service.
Friends are invited to visit with the family one hour prior to the start of the service at Rhone Funeral Home.
Mr. Marshall will be inurned at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas, at a later date.
